Our Client, a leading pan-European middle-market investor, focused on acquiring rapidly expanding companies capturing long-term environmental trends, with more than € 3 billion AUM and different offices in Europe, focused on investing in private and public companies driven by environmental megatrends, is seeking for an “Investment Manager”.

Our Client, a leading pan-European middle-market investor, focused on acquiring rapidly expanding companies capturing long-term environmental trends, with more than € 3 billion AUM and different offices in Europe, focused on investing in private and public companies driven by environmental megatrends, is seeking for an “Investment Manager”.

The position:

In the framework of the development of its activity, in collaboration with the entire French team and the different offices, the candidate’s main responsibilities will be to contribute to sourcing and the proper execution and management of investments (capital transfer transactions with tax leveraging effects: LBO, MBO, OBO…, with a strong preference for majority positions, aiming at “niche” French SMEs driven by environmental themes, with scalable and profitable business models, growing international end-markets and strong and differentiated market positions, valued at between 50 and 300 M€, with investments tickets between 30 and 100 M€ – with underwriting capacity up to €140 million), in order to ensure the quality and profitability of the portfolio.

He/she must more specifically:

-Contribute to carrying out investment opportunities, financing transactions and the evaluation of financial risks (analysis of the business plan, business valuation, modelling, seeking information on target companies, competitors, the business sector, undertaking strategic due diligence etc.) and taking part, with the Directors, in the various negotiations, in the realisation of the investments and the setting-up of financial transactions,

-Contribute to the “follow-up – portfolio management” of equity interests (taking part in negotiations, financial monitoring and follow-up of equity stakes, etc.) and following up on financing…,

-Contribute to the exit processes…

Profile of the candidate:

M/F. Further education such as business school or engineering school, with a preference for an engineering school.

Fluent in English, the candidate must have 4 to 5/6 years’ experience:

-Either in Private Equity in an international firm.

-Or in management consulting, in a strategy consulting firm notably specialized in strategic due diligences for PE funds.

He/she must therefore demonstrate complete autonomy in carrying out his/her work and must demonstrate true relational abilities and a strong team spirit.
