Our Client, a pan-European private equity firm, with offices in Frankfurt and Paris, currently deploying its first investment program, the marketing of which has just ended, for an amount > €1 billion, and whose objective is to constitute a tight portfolio of six to eight lines, by investing tickets of €100 to €200 million, via majority LBO operations, in companies based in France, Germany, Switzerland and Benelux, valued between €150 and €600 million, in the health, B to B services and technological industries sectors, entrusted us with the mission, as part of the development of its activity, to recruit a « Diretor » – based in Paris.

The position:

As Director based in Paris, the individual will support and drive the origination and work as part of respective deal teams on the deal execution, value creation and exit of investments primarily.

He/she must more specifically:

1/ Origination of deals:

-Actively involved in sourcing and expanding the firms’ network in Europe.

-Coordinate origination meetings.

-Participate at industry events on behalf of the company.

 2/ Pilot execution of Investments:

-Full deal process involvement, from origination, structuring, diligence, negotiations through to closing.

-Evaluate and screen investment opportunities.

-Lead Due Diligence workstreams independently and coordinate advisors (CDD, FDD, etc.).

-Interpret financial analyses, including investment track records/ financial statements and prepare valuation analyses on private companies using a variety of metrics.

-Financial modelling, including leveraged buyout and cash flow analysis.

-Present due diligence results together with Partner to Investment Committee.

-Coordinate communications and build relationships with target company affiliates & other external sources.

3/ Monitoring the existing portfolio and exits:

-Monitor the performance of the Firm’s (upcoming) investment portfolio; prepare for and participate in meetings with assigned managers and conduct on-going due diligence.

-Support monthly/quarterly reporting to Investment Committee and Investors.

-Be involved at Advisory Board Meetings.

4/ Team / Company Development:

-Manage junior team members including interns on transactions and other daily work.

-Support the learning process and standards within the firm.

-Show flexibility – all professionals are expected to perform multiple functions as the firm continues to grow and develop.

Profile of candidate:

M/F.

Outstanding academic background with a relevant business / finance degree. Master studies completed at a renowned University / Business School.

Fluent in English, totally autonomous, able to realize a deal by himself, the candidate must have 6/7 to 8/10 years’ experience maximum in Private Equity or in Flex Equity, ideally in a “smid cap or a mid cap” firm.

He/she must therefore demonstrate complete autonomy in carrying out his/her work and must demonstrate true relational abilities and a strong team spirit.
