Notre Client, un gestionnaire d’actifs global, filiale d’un institutionnel de premier plan, avec près de 900 Md€ sous gestion, plus de 1500 fonds et mandats gérés couvrant toutes les stratégies d’investissement et une présence mondiale dans de nombreux pays, recherche,  dans le cadre du développement de son activité: un/une « Strategy & Corporate Finance Officer ».

Notre Client, un gestionnaire d’actifs global, filiale d’un institutionnel de premier plan, avec près de 900 Md€ sous gestion, plus de 1500 fonds et mandats gérés couvrant toutes les stratégies d’investissement et une présence mondiale dans de nombreux pays, recherche,  dans le cadre du développement de son activité: un/une « Strategy & Corporate Finance Officer ».

Poste:

The candidate will be in charge of recurring and ad-hoc specific projects in relation to 3 pillars: Corporate development, Strategy and Corporate Finance.

Subject to the candidate’s profile and subject the activity cycle, the candidate will be able to work on all three pillars. The candidate will also have the capacity to build his/her own expertise and network by suggesting new ideas/projects and lead them. All these projects will require dealing with various senior stakeholders within our Client but also our Client’s shareholder representative and the Group teams such as Strategy and Finance. The candidate will also have to coordinate several departments and in particular Finance, Operations and Legal departments.

The candidate will have the following responsibilities:

On the Strategy side:

-Lead or participate to ad-hoc strategic projects, usually at the request of the Management Board (new geographical development, launch of asset classes having implications on our Client’s business model, review of portfolio of activities…),

-Drive and support the strategic dialogue within the Group: Strategic Plan Process (Group wide exercise), Quarterly Business Review (Internal business reviews), Board of Directors, Investor Day,

-Maintain competitive watch of the asset management industry: analysis of listed asset managers results as well as M&A transactions in the sector to identify opportunities in terms of clients/offering/geographies/business models: Identify and analyze dynamics of the Asset Management Industry / Propose and implement Management Board discussions around challenges and opportunities raised by the environment on specific themes / Contribute to industry wide benchmarking projects / Analyze in detail announced M&A transactions,

-Support our Client innovation: contribute to European Asset managers CFO forum, support interactions with Fintechs, attend to specific forums to fuel new ideas, analyze impact of new technologies of Asset Management value chain and perform deep dives on specific themes,

-Identify/source and analyze potential M&A / partnerships opportunities for our Client. These opportunities can be sourced by different sources: team work (market screening), investment banks, advisors, distribution…

On the Corporate Finance side:

-Analyze and optimize our Client’s financial structure: Capital allocation: i.e. interact with all our Client’s local CFOs to understand their capital position, their local constraints, and ensure our Client’s capital is optimized / Internal financings: Coordinate and implement internal financings / Financial result: Analyze and manage our Client’s financial results and propose appropriate actions (e.g. hedging) whenever relevant / Support our Client’s risk appetite: Work closely with our Client’s Risk Management to review solvency and liquidity risks.

-Manage transversal projects: Support business developments and strategic projects through financial / structuring support / Regularly review our Client’s overall legal set-up and provide recommendations / Lead internal restructurings such as business transfers, internal mergers or liquidations / Perform internal business valuations (e.g. for impairment tests, compensation schemes)

-Analyze and execute our Client’s M&A deals / Affiliates projects : Preliminary analysis, valuation, assessment of financial impacts / Overall project management, coordination of due diligences, liaison with internal departments and external advisers (auditors, investment banks) / Monitor and analyze overtime our Client’s participations including Joint Venture.

-Analyze and execute our Client’s JV/partnership/alliance projects : Work with local & regional heads as well as global support functions (e.g. Sales, product intelligence, compliance) to identify and structure partnership opportunities that go beyond commercial agreements / This projects usually imply a market study heavy lifting before gathering the relevant stakeholders to identify and approach a potential partner…

Profil recherché:

M/F. Relevant finance degree, i.e. Master degree or MBA from leading schools.

Work experience of 5-8 years:

-In the “Corporare Strategy / Corporate Development” department of a Group in Asset Management / Investment Management / Bank or Insurance sectors,

-In “M&A – FIG sector” in an international bank or “boutique”,

-In a “Transaction Services” department of an international Audit firm, with a specialization in FIG/AM/IM sectors,

-In a “Strategy Consulting Firm” with a specialization in FIG/AM/IM sectors.
